The judges also commended Hamed Nobari for his film In the Name of God.

For his winning film, Tor will receive the main prize of £2000. Michael will receive a short course at the National Film and Television School, while Rebecca and Luca will receive a lifetime membership to and bundle of goodies from Shooting People. Congratulations to Tor, Michael, Rebecca and Luca, and to all the DepicT! ’08 shortlisted filmmakers.

DepicT! would like to thank this year’s judging panel for contributing their time and expertise in the difficult task of choosing the winners: Jeremy Howe, Kenneth Tan, Simon Relph, Nik Powell, Kate Taylor, Luis Cook, Gina Fucci, Matthew Walker and David Gilbert.

Of course, we couldn't determine the Audience Award without your help. We received over 1800 votes this year, so many thanks to everyone who contributed their ratings!
