Many congratulations to all this year’s filmmakers. Out of a record 428 entries for DepicT! ‘07, we ended up with an incredible shortlist of ten mini-movies - this year's jury panel agreed it was one of the strongest in the competition's history.
It was a difficult decision for this year’s jury to choose a winner, but we’re pleased to announce that the DepicT! ‘07 prize of £2000 was given to Matthew Walker for his short Operator. Special mentions were also made to The Forgotten Comic and Moon Shot UK.
The DepicT!’ 07 Shooting People Audience Award was also announced last night, and that went to David Gilbert for The Picnic. David will receive a bundle of goodies from Shooting People, including a copy of the recently published Get Your Short Film Funded, Made and Seen, Shooting People DVD releases Best vs Best Vols. One and Two, and a lifetime membership to Shooting People. We received over 1500 ratings to help decide the winner, so many thanks to all of you who took time to score the films.
