It's the Big One was a spontaneous creation by Encounters International Short Film Festival Creative Director Mark Cosgrove. With a single shot, no actors and no dialogue, the contrasts in size and elegant pace make this microfilm epic in scale and demonstrate how even the simplest of concepts can pack a punch. Mark says, "Godard said that all films need a beginning middle and end but not necessarily in that order. The boat, like the film, has a beginning middle and end - thankfully in that order!"
